EDUCATION
Education for the next generation of photobiologists is a major priority of NOFFOF. We provide fellowships for young NOFFOF members to attend the annual NOFFOF meeting, the European Society for Photobiology (ESP) congresses and the ESP Photobiology School. In addition, NOFFOF was one of the major sponsors of the first Giulio Jori Research Scholarship of the ESP.
NOFFOF travel fellowship bylaws
The applicant must be a member of NOFFOF when submitting the application.

The applicant must be under 35 years, be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college or university, and study or work in fields that are relevant for NOFFOF.

The grant can be used to cover the registration fee for the ESP meeting or travel expenses upon participation at the annual NOFFOF meeting.
Travel grant applications for ESP meetings require enclosed documentation on approved abstracts as well as confirmation of the paid participant fee (when obtained).

Refund of travel expenses when attending NOFFOF meetings requires that the applicant hold a scientific presentation at the meeting. Travel expenses are covered up to NOK 2000 using the most affordable means of communication, including air travel. Please submit original tickets/bills. Travel expenses do not include coverage of accommodation. The NOFFOF board determines the number of grants to be announced per year in view of the society’s financial situation. Grants are announced when relevant to the different meetings.

The applications are assessed by a committee appointed by the NOFFOF board.
